FAQ – Answers to Your Questions

Eco Friendly

1. How are the services scheduled?

We will ask when you sign-up for the day your trash and recycling are collected. We will let you know in advance what week we will be providing the service and your cans will be cleaned by the end of the day following your trash and recycling pick up. You just need to leave your cans curbside for us to clean.

2. What is your process for cleaning the trash cans?

Our equipment can clean up to two cans at a time using 360 degree spray heads that rotate and spin to remove the dirt and residue in minutes. Water heated to 200 degrees kills the bacteria and viruses that live in the trash cans. Our self-contained system collects all the water which we dispose of properly. This eliminates the water entering storm drains or yards.

3. Why do I need my trash cans cleaned?

Studies have shown that over 400 different germs and viruses can be present in a trash can. In addition, rodents and bugs are attracted to decaying garbage and the residue in your cans. Every time you touch or open your trash can you could be exposing you and your family. Many HOAs require that homeowners store the trash cans in the garage. No one likes smelling the dirty trash cans as they are getting in their car. The residue in the garbage can smell just as bad as the garbage that is put in it.

4. Do I have to sign up for a plan?

You do not have to sign up for a plan. We do have one-time cleanings that are available.

5. Why shouldn’t I just do it myself?

Besides being a hassle, it is really hard for someone to clean a can in an eco-friendly manner that kills the bacteria and viruses. Cleaning it yourself will result in contaminated water going into storm drains or in the yard/driveway where children play. It takes substantially more water to clean it yourself. Just think of the backspray into your face that will occur when putting a yard hose or pressure washer into the can. Who would want that?

6. Do I need to be home?

You do not need to be at home for the service to occur. Everything is pre-paid and we will let you know when the service has been completed.

7. What types of trash cans do you clean?

We can clean all types of cans.

8. Do I need to renew every year?

You do not need to renew every year. Monthly and seasonal plans will automatically renew each month after the 3-cleaning minimum.

9. How clean will my trash can be after a service?

We will do our best to clean it all in the first cleaning. However, cans that have extreme amount of residue may take several cleaning to remove it all. We will not be able to remove paint, tar, oil, or other similar substances.

10. Can I buy this service as a gift?

Yes. When scheduling service enter the residence information for the person receiving the service.
